when we moved to a new place, we got a new phone number. we started receiving several calls, at all times of day and night. they were all from elderly ladies who were unknown to us. it turned out that either our new number used to be that of a convent or it was 1 number away from the convent's number. either way, these old ladies were trying to talk to the nuns in the convent, either for spiritual guidance or because they were relatives... took a long while before we stopped receiving those calls. I am guessing the word got out, eventually.
